‍ ‍ Darby works in multiple mediums including paint, printmaking, and sculpture. Her art explores the intersection of fantasy, memory, identity, and the passage of time from a female perspective. A childhood spent in rural northern California informs much of her work which depicts imagery of family, domestic life, nature, and the body. A style of whimsy and play becomes a lens through which she examines the construction of self.

Darby Banks graduated Cum Laud from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2025 with a BA in Studio Art. She currently lives and creates in Humboldt County, CA.
